How do I get from the airport to the riad?

Send us your flight details before you arrive and someone will meet you at the airport. The riad is about ten minutes away. For direct bookings of four nights or more, two transfers per booking are free (guests on the same flight, Ouarzazate airport only).

Can you arrange transport from the bus or train?

Yes. Tell us when and how you arrive (flight, train or bus number) and we arrange the transfer.

If you come with your own or a rental car, a guarded and secured parking area is right in front of the riad.

Can I choose a specific room?

Yes. When you book on our website you choose the room by its name, with all its details.

Is the riad suitable for children?

Yes, children of every age are welcome. Yan and Semmus sleep four and Sdis sleeps three.

When can I reach you?

Reception is open 24 hours a day. Between 8 am and 10 pm we reply within the hour. During your stay we also give you a mobile phone to reach the riad at any time.

What is served at breakfast?

Breakfast is included and served daily in the restaurant or on the terrace. Choose continental, vegan or gluten free, or take it to go.

Can we have dinner at the riad?

Yes, at La Table du Berbère, the riad’s own restaurant, every evening from 6 to 10 pm by reservation. You choose one starter, one main and one dessert from chef Jasmin’s menu, with mint tea and mineral water. Vegetarian options exist at every course.

Why order dinner ahead?

Everything is cooked to order and the menu takes about an hour and a half. Send your choices with your name, the date and the time on WhatsApp or through the order page of latableduberbere.com, and dinner is ready when you sit down. Tell us about allergies at the same time.

Can we book dinner if we are not staying at the riad?

Yes. La Table du Berbère takes reservations from visitors as well as guests. Reservations are answered every day from 8 am to 7 pm.

Is there anything at midday?

The restaurant serves dinner. During the day the Afla rooftop is open from 8 am to 10 pm for mint tea and a drink, and our team serves tea all day. Ask at reception if you need something specific.

Do you offer a tour guide?

Yes, a dedicated guide works with the riad and tailors each tour. This comes at an extra fee; contact us for the rates.

What is your cancellation policy?

From 30 days to 7 days before check-in, cancellation costs 50 % of the booking. Within 7 days of arrival, or in case of no show, 100 % is charged.

Can I change my dates?

You can add or remove nights from your booking up to 30 days before arrival.

01 · The riad

Riad Chay took ten years to build. Work began in 2008 on a plot the village had given up on, and the doors opened in 2018. It sits in the palm grove of Tifoultoute, ten minutes from Ouarzazate airport and eleven from the town centre.

Berber cooking by reservation: one starter, one main and one dessert from the evening menu.

Tagines slow cooked in clay, hand rolled couscous, rfissa and pastilla. The menu takes about an hour and a half, so send your choices ahead.
