In contrast to many kasbahs, Amridil remains well-preserved and is still managed by the grandchildren of its original builder, MHAMED NACIRI EL HASKOURI, who was the son of Ahmed Bennacer, the founder of Zaouia Naciria in Tamgroute. Constructed in the 17th century as an Islamic school, known in Morocco as a Zaouia, to teach the Quran, Amridil stands as a must-see landmark in Ouarzazate today.
